A PAIR OF JAPANESE ARITA DECAGONAL DISHES
EDO PERIOD, 17TH CENTURY
The creamy white bodies with brown rims, the wells decorated with an incised design depicting a bird perched on a branch of bamboo, the bases with three spurr marks, 19cm each. (2)
Provenance: an English private collection formed in the 1960s.
