A CHINESE STONE CARVING OF A LION
POSSIBLY TANG DYNASTY
The beast depicted seated on its haunches turning its head to dexter, with its mouth wide open revealing its fangs, resting one paw upon a small cub, with a kneeling figure at its side, all raised on a simple rectangular base, with a paper label for Bluett & Sons to the interior, 15cm.
