A BRONZE EQUESTRIAN FIGURE OF THE RACE HORSE JOHNNY ARMSTRONG

AFTER JOSEPH EDGAR BOEHM (1834 - 1890), DATED '1863'

standing almost four square on a naturalistic base, signature, dated and titled to the base

40.5cm high, 49cm wide, 18cm deep

Catalogue Note

Johnny Armstrong was bred by L. Peel, owned by Mrs Gordon and was registered in 1859 and won the Prince of Wales stakes at Cleveland in 1863.
