Alana Ker Mercer

Alana joined the team whilst completing her MPhil studies in Art History with Trinity College Dublin, in which she was awarded a Distinction. Prior to this, she acquired a First Class degree in Literature from Durham University. Alongside her studies, Alana worked as an editor for the Palatinate, one of the oldest and leading student newspapers in Britain.
Alana is an enthusiast in rare books, manuscripts and illustration and recently completed her research thesis on woodcuts produced by women artists for the Golden Cockerel Press. Alongside this, she holds interest in Near Eastern and Islamic art. Alana is also keen sportswoman and has previously competed internationally for England as a hockey goalkeeper.
