Michelle Yu

Michelle joined Woolley and Wallis in 2021. She grew up in Hong Kong and first arrived in the UK in 2012 to acquire her Media and Cultural Studies degree from Newcastle University. Michelle developed her passion in Chinese works of art whilst working as an intern at Christie's. She then went on to complete her MA in East Asian Art History and Archaeology at SOAS University. Her studies focused on the identifying and dating of Chinese porcelains between the Song to Qing Dynasty, visual and material cultures in China, and Edo Period Japan. Michelle is a member of the Oriental Ceramic Society.

Michelle is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
