An Indian leopard skin rug mounted by Van Ingen & Van Ingen of Mysore, with head mount and glass eyes, with teeth and some claws, mounted on navy blue felt with a linen backing, numbered '23798' and stencil mark inscribed 'VANINGEN & VANINGEN MYSORE' and printed paper care label, 247 x 174cm.

Order 23798 was taken on 13/1/1937 from E.W. Wylde? of the Bettiah Estate, Champaran, India and consisted of a Panther (Leopard) skin and skull.
