'Mother and Child' a plaster figure cast from a model by Alec Miller (1879-1961), modelled seated, resting on a sphere, on wooden base signed in the cast, 39cm. high Alec Miller originally trained as a wood carver in Glasgow before joining the Guild of Handicraft in 1902. He stayed at Chipping Camden after the guild closed, before moving to California in 1939.
