A RARE PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNE MODELS OF BIRDS ON STANDS
18TH CENTURY
Naturalistically modelled, with their heads turned to the side, preening their flight feathers, their plumage picked out in red, yellow and gold. Each perched on a tripod stand and raised on a tall base, decorated with bats, stylised lotus flowerheads and foliage on a blue and turquoise ground, the legs separately cast and detachable, 29cm. (8)
