A CHINESE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI
17TH CENTURY
Seated in dhyanasana with his hands clasped in a gesture of prayer, wearing long flowing robes, with an exposed chest marked with a fylfot, his eyes downcast and head lined with tight curls, 17.5cm, 1.6kg.
Provenance: formerly a French private collection in Normandy.
