A good Chinese silver tray 19th century, intricately engraved with phoenix and birds amidst flowering branches, the central plaque inscribed in German for Ihrem Claus Budde and dated 1868/9, the reverse inscribed: 'Hong Kong 6th May 1869 C. Bade, H.O. De La Camp, C. Erdmann, L. Gultzow, F. Grobien, P.G. Hubb, H. Kuhlmann, F. Lanken', the outer rim cast in relief with figures, buildings and animals amongst forest landscapes, and raised on three cast feet, maker's mark IC, 32oz, 32cm. Cf. H.
