A GARNITURE OF FIVE CHINESE BLUE-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE VASES

Comprising: three baluster vases and covers; and two waisted beaker vases, decorated with large leaf-shaped panels containing flowers and smaller panels with further flowers and landscapes on bright blue cracked-ice ground scattered with flowerheads, with Fonthill Heirlooms paper labels, no. 448, 43cm max. (8)

From the collection of Alfred Morrison (1821-97), Fonthill House, Wiltshire, Fonthill Heirlooms no.448, and then John Granville Morrison (1906-96), 1st Baron Margadale of Islay and thence by direct descent to the present owner.
