A CHINESE FLAMBE GLAZED BRUSH WASHER
KANGXI 1662-1722
Well potted, with a U-shaped body, thickening towards the rim, the exterior glazed with an intense violet, the interior with an even pale lavender colour which extends over the rim in vertical streaks, the centre of the base glazed lavender, 24cm dia.
Provenance: from a British private collection, purchased from Adrian Joseph, 1984.
