A LARGE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE CYLINDRICAL VASE

KANGXI 1662-1722

The tall body painted with petal shaped panels containing birds flying amongst branches of blossoming flowers growing between rockwork, with an additional band of floral decoration to the base and further foliage to the short waisted neck, all separated by chevron borders repeated at the rim, neck and base, 56.5cm.

Provenance: from a British private collection, formed 1970-2003; purchased at Christie's, London, on 1st April 1999, lot 336.
