A CHINESE CELADON DISH

SIX CHARACTER QIANLONG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1736-95

The shallow body rising from a straight foot to a slightly everted rim, covered overall in a pale bluish-green glaze, the brown rim with traces of gilding, the base with a Qianlong mark in underglaze blue, 15.8cm.

Provenance: from an English private collection, Somerset, acquired in the 1970s, and thence by descent.
