A pair of Chinese armorial teabowls and saucers, decorated with a crest, motto and initials 'BS', of Spottiswood of Dunnipace in Co. Sterling, c.1790. (4) Possibly for Captain Robert Spottiswood, in command of the Lord Nelson in Canton 1800. Cf. Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain, Volume II, p.590.
