An early Doccia teapot and cover, each side painted with a central orange flower within an arrangement of green foliage and smaller flower sprays, the spout modelled as a mythical serpent, c.1740-45, cracked, 20cm. (2) From the collection of Anthony Ray (1926-2009), ceramic historian and by repute formerly in the collection of Arthur Lane (1909-1963). Cf.
