An English enamel patch box of naval interest c.1798, printed and hand-coloured with Britannia seated on the shore before a tall masted ship, a pyramid obelisk to her right, the sides and base enamelled in a pale peach, the interior cover fitted with a mirror, a little cracking, 4.4cm.

This print may well relate to Nelson's victory at the Battle of the Nile in 1798, which saw the captain promoted to Baron Nelson.
