λ A late 18th century Mughal ivory rectangular writing box, with silver hinges, clasp and mounts, all over relief carved with floral medallions and bands of flowerheads and foliage, the interior originally with divisions for pens and ink, on a carved slightly shaped base, Indian or Ceylonese, 5.6cm high, 23.7cm wide, 7.4cm deep.
