A Dutch East Indies hardwood 'Zanzibar' chest

A Dutch East Indies hardwood 'Zanzibar' chest, with engraved and repoussé decorated brass mounts, in the form of Buddhas, birds and beasts, with brass and copper studs, five mounts decorated with a coat of arms and one with a 'VOC' monogram and the date '1735', with a vacant interior, on separate turned and bracket feet, with side carrying handles, 53.6cm high, 93cm wide, 49cm deep.
