An early 19th century French Palais Royal gilt and patinated bronze musical box, in the form of a square piano with mother of pearl panels, the hinged lid revealing an automaton repoussé panel of two amorous figures making love in a classical landscape, the front decorated with musical trophies, pipes and a central lyre, mounted on a conforming base fitted with a drawer for jewellery, on paw feet, 12cm high, 14.8cm wide, 14.6cm deep.
