An early 17th century French bronze mortar, the rim decorated with four rectangular panels, with a wild boar's head issuing scrolling leaves, above eight ribs or buttresses, interspersed with a pair of relief portrait busts, possibly Lyon, Toine Cavet, 11cm high, 14.7cm diameter.
