An early 19th century cast iron ball iron
An early 19th century cast iron ball iron, the hinged top with a recess for a hot coal, above a ring turned stem and a 'lemon squeezer' type base, together with another ball iron by Kenrick & Sons, the detachable base stamped 'A.K. & Sons No. 0', one with a mushroom finial and a lemon squeezer base and a brass and cast iron example with a screw-off top and a lift-off cover, 33.9cm high.
