A closely related design for a pembroke table with very similar inlay, dated 1784 which was made for Edmund Craddock Hartopp of Merevale Hall, Warwickshire appears in Lyndsay Boynton, Gillow Furniture Designs 1760-1800, fig.61. See also a similar pembroke table with a central nautilus shell from Langleys, Essex attributed to the maker Charles Elliott is illustrated in Lanto Synge, Mallett Millennium, p.181, fig.227.
