A Victorian red silk and metal thread banner

A Victorian red silk and metal thread banner, on a damask ground, embroidered with silver and gold threads with three crowns above the badge of the Yeomen of the Guard, flanked by the Royal cypher 'V R', and 'PENINSULA WATERLOO', with a metal thread fringe, 75.5 x 83.5cm.

Provenance: Field Marshal Earl Kitchener of Khartoum (1850-1916) and thence by descent.
