A pair of George IV mahogany pole fire-screens in the manner of Gillows, each with a brass pole with a bud finial to an adjustable carved giltwood frame with embroidered silk and wool panels, one of the Rooke coat of arms, with the motto' 'NOS PASCIT DEUS', on a fluted and nulled triform base and leaf carved scroll feet, 144.4cm high, 44.5cm wide. (2)

Provenance: The Old Rectory, Little Langford, Wiltshire. Sold by order of Trustees of the Estate of the late Miss S.F. Rooke.
