An early 19th century French pressed burr maple snuff box, the lid with a scene of two men playing cards titled 'LES DEUX GASPARD', the rim with an inscription to a tortoiseshell lined interior, the base originally with a portrait miniature, 8cm diameter, together with a Swiss treen screw nutcracker, modelled with a hunchback straddling a flower, 5.8cm long.

Provenance: The Old Rectory, Little Langford, Wiltshire. Sold by order of Trustees of the Estate of the late Miss S.F. Rooke.
