A late Victorian Sheraton revival satinwood and polychrome decorated Carlton House desk, kingwood banded and painted with cherubs, urns, flowers and a portrait of a lady, the central cupboard door flanked by three drawers either side and two further corner compartments, with hinged stationery compartments and a pull-out inset leather writing surface, above three frieze drawers one stamped 'JAS SHOOLBRED & CO', on square tapering legs to brass castors, 40.5in (102.6cm) h, 45.25in (114.5cm) w, 23.5in (59.6cm) d.
