The four oban tate-e from the series Fuzoku sanjuni so (Thirty-two Aspects of Customs and Manners of Women), comprising: a beauty examining a paper lantern, entitled 'Observant: Habits of a waitress of Western Kyoto'; another a mother embracing her toddler; entitled 'Cute: Habits of a housewife of the 10th year of the Meiji era'; the third a woman extinguishing a lantern, entitled 'Dark: Habits of a housewife of the Meiji era'; the last depicted boarding a boat, entitled 'Dangerous: Habits of a modern geisha of the Meiji era', each print approx. 24cm x 36cm.
