A PAIR OF JAPANESE KUTANI FOLIATE DISHES WITH BIRDS
EDO PERIOD, 17TH CENTURY
Both decorated in colourful enamels with a central Hō-ō bird with long tail feathers, the cavetti with dense patterns of foliate karakusa scrolls; both painted with pine needles and a central fuku mark to the reverse; each with a Christie's paper label to the base, 16.7cm. (2)
