A JAPANESE SAKE SET AND CUPS BY THE IMAEMON WORKSHOP
HEISEI ERA, 20TH/21ST CENTURY
Comprising a sake ewer and two footed cups decorated with branches of pomegranate, each with an Imaemon mark in underglaze blue underneath; in a tomobako (wood box) inscribed Nishiki zakuro-e shuki (polychrome sake set with pomegranate picture), and signed and sealed Imaemon on the reverse; together with five cups variously decorated with flowers and fruits, each marked Imaemon, in a tomobako inscribed Nishiki denrai zensai (polychrome cups with traditional designs) and Imaemon inside, possibly associated; 14cm max.
