SIX JAPANESE BOXED BRONZE VASES
A COLLECTION OF SIX JAPANESE BRONZE VASES
SHŌWA/HEISEI, 20TH CENTURY
The first with a slender pear-shaped body with ribs at the shoulder, marked, by Ichinose Sōshin (act. 1970s-80s); the second a gu-shaped vase with a warm orange-brown patina, marked, by Kobayashi Bishun (1887-1986); the third of cylindrical form with ribs at the shoulder, marked, by Tsuda Eiju (1915-2001); the fourth another gu-shaped vase with a thinner body, unmarked, with a tomobako (wood box) inscribed and signed Nosaku Ikkei (act.1950s-50s); the fifth of conical shape with ribs under the rim and above the flared foot, the inside lacquered black, marked, by Toyoda Kastusaki (the box dated 1947); the last with a conical foot and ribbed under the flared rim, marked, by Kamara Suzu (20th c.); all in tomobako (wood boxes) inscribed and signed; 27.4cm max.
