TWO JAPANESE BRONZE FIGURES OF SARUMAWASHI (MONKEY TRAINERS)
MEIJI ERA, 19TH/20TH CENTURY
Both cast with a man standing on a lobed base lifting a sake barrel, each with a monkey wearing a waistcoat sat at the top, the upper sections opening to reveal the inside of the barrels; each signed in two cartouches, Mori and an illegible mark; both 46cm. (4)
