A JAPANESE INLAID-BRONZE MOONFLASK BY MIYABE ATSUYOSHI
MEIJI ERA, 19TH CENTURY

The flattened circular body raised on a spreading foot and with a flared neck, one side decorated with a silver egret taking flight underneath a flowering hibiscus tree, the reverse with two birds perched on a prunus tree in bloom, a third smaller bird flying below; the base signed Dai Nihon Kyoto ju Ikkodo Miyabe Atsuyoshi with kao, 16.8cm.

Provenance: previously in a Scottish private collection, Renfrewshire.
