λ A collection of Georgian and Victorian jewels, including a fine Georgian mourning brooch, late 18th century, comprising: a mourning brooch of oval outline, the glazed central compartment depicting a funerary monument in ivory set with a pearl, the glass painted with a fringe of weeping willow leaves, within a border of white enamel the reverse with woven hair work, length 3.4cm, pearls untested; a pink topaz and chrysoberyl mourning brooch in a scrolling gold mount, the reverse with a glazed compartment containing hair work, length 4.4cm; a gold brooch set with a panel of hair work within a half pearl border, length 5.7cm, pearls untested; a smoky quartz and enamel brooch, length 4.7cm; a hardstone cameo brooch depicting a woman with long flowing hair in profile, mounted in gold, length 4.6cm, French assay marks for 18ct gold and partial maker's mark; and a tortoiseshell longchain, length 102cm
