A George III gold-mounted tortoiseshell snuff box

A George III gold-mounted tortoiseshell snuff box, probably London c.1780, the hinged cover mount with an oval portrait miniature of King George III (1738-1820) in red and blue General's uniform with gold epaulettes, black stock, black cocked hat and wearing the breast star of the Order of the Garter, within a surround of chased foliate scrolls and polished gold frame, 8cm wide
