An 18th century German combination hunting sword and pistol

An 18th century German combination hunting sword and pistol, blade 22.75 in., double-edged for the last 7 in., narrow back fuller, the forte etched with hunting scenes involving boar and a hare, acanthus engraved guard plate, the hilt incorporating a 40 bore flintlock pistol, round two-stage barrel fitted to the right of the blade and with acanthus engraving to the breech, backstrap and lock also engraved with the former displaying a cartouche surmounted by a visored helmet, knuckle bow with engraved guard plate and fine dolphin-head detail, burr wood grip with carved dog-head finial. Section 58(2) - no licence required if possessed as a curiosity or ornament.
