A Scottish basket-hilted sword, 17th century double-edged blade 33.5 in., multiply struck on both sides with the King's Head mark of Johannes Wundes the Younger (1630-1685) and with the conventional inscription 'ANDREA FARARA'; 18th century hilt formed of rectangular-section bars, shields and guard plates pierced with hearts, conical pommel, shagreen-covered grip.
