William Alexander Roy ('Billy') Collins was a famous publisher, chairman of Collins printers and publishers. He was a great collector of Edward Seago's work, and particularly admired paintings such as this which show the clear inspiration of Sir Alfred Munnings. Lots 198 and 199 are studies for the present work.
