Mountain landscape with cattle grazing and a train passing a staithe, with the sea beyond
Watercolour
31.3 x 46.7cm; 12½ x 18½in

Provenance:
In the present owners family since c.1940

Loading staithes, such as the one depicted here, fell out of use c.1880. It has been suggested that the present work may depict a site between Workington and Whitehaven.
