An early 19th century Scottish provincial silver toast rack,
by James Begg, Aberdeen circa 1840,
rectangular form, canted corners, plain wire-work bars, (one a.f), central carrying handle initialled, on four bracket feet, length 16cm, approx. weight 5.8oz.

The crest is probably that of Allen.

Provenance: Purchased from Mary Cooke Antiques, December 2014.
