A regimental silver mug, The 20th Duke of Cambridge's Own Infantry (Brownlow's Punjabis),

by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, London 1911,

tapering circular form, scroll handle, engraved with the Regimental badge and 'Presented to the Officers, 20th D.C.O Infantry by Lieut. C.C. Stewart', height 12cm, approx. weight 10oz.

The Regiment were involved in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900. Lt. Christopher Steward was promoted captain in October 1912, and was killed in action in Mesopotamia in November 1915. After partition the Regiment was allocated to Pakistan.
