A Victorian Regimental electroplated mustard pot, The Royal Queen's Country Rifles,
by Elkington and Co., 1853,
circular form, pierced body, leaf capped scroll handle, gadroon border, the hinged cover with the Regimental badge, with a blue glass liner, height 7.5cm.
The Militia Regiment was raised at Montrath in 1793 in Queen's County. In 1853, The Regiment added Rifles to become the 104th or The Royal Queen's County Rifles Regiment of Militia. In 1881 it became the 4th Bn The Prince of Wales Leinster Regiment. In 1922 the Regiment was disbanded.
