A George III Regimental silver Fiddle pattern tablespoon, Tipperary Militia,

the reverse of the terminal with the Regimental badge, length 19cm, approx. weight 2.3oz.
The Regiment was raised in 1793. In 1812, re-designated Tipperary (or Duke of Clarence's Munster) Regiment of Militia. The Regiment split in 1854 into the North Tipperary Light Infantry Militia and the South Tipperary Artillery Militia. These disbanded in 1922 and 1909.
