λA continental silver-gilt and enamel Egyptian revival desk set,
marked 900, circa 1920,
matted surface, vari-coloured enamel decoration, comprising an inkstand of rectangular form, with two inkwells with enamelled covers, a pen rest and a bird with spread wings, plus a desk seal with a Sphinx terminal and engraved matrix, a letter knife with an ivory blade, a blotter with a similar finial, a pencil and a nib cutter/sharpener, engraved with the initial W.S in hieroglyphic lettering, in a fitted case, length of inkwell 16cm.
