A rare George II provincial silver mug,
by Benjamin Brancker, Liverpool circa 1730,
tapering circular form, scroll handle, the underside with scratch initials 'E.R' and with a scratch weight, the front with a crest and later initials, on a circular foot, height 13.5cm, approx. weight 12.3oz.

The crest is that of various families including: Barney, Barns, Baron, Barron, Berney, Blair, Blaquier, Bliss, Bouling, Brett, Burkett, Burlton.
