A pair of George III Irish silver presentation two-handled cups,
maker's marks of Richard Tudor and Matthew West, one acting as a retailer, Dublin circa 1776,
baluster form, leaf capped scroll handles, engraved with a crest and motto within a foliate garland, the reverse inscribed ' Presented by the Select Annuity Company to Their Worthy Member William Osbrey, Marshal of the City of Dublin, in Acknowlegement of his Ingenuity Devising, Prudence in Proposing and Diligence in Promoting their New Charter Party, dated The First Day of February MDCCLXXVI', on circular bases, height 15cm, approx. weight 27.8oz.
