Channel Islands interest, a Victorian presentation silver salver,

circular form, foliate scroll border, engraved with the Shield of Jersey and inscribed 'July 1841. This Salver together with a silver tea and coffee service was presented to Mr Robert White, Commander of H.M Steam Packet 'Dasher', By the Chamber of Commerce, Merchants and other Inhabitants of the Island of Jersey as a testimonial of their regard and of the high sense they entertain of his arduous and devoted services in the conveying of the Mail to and from Weymouth and the Channel Islands during a period of twenty-five years', on three bracket feet, diameter 26cm, approx. weight 18oz.
