A George III silver soup tureen,
by Robert Garrard, London 1804,
oval form with gadrooned border, reeded scroll handles, the cover with a mitre finial, engraved with armorial surmounted by a mitre, on four lion mask capped paw and ball feet, length handle to handle 41.6cm, approx. weight 100.7oz.

The arms are that of the See of Waterford impaling De La Poer-Trench. Power De La Poer-Trench (1770-1839) was Bishop of Waterford (1802-1811), Bishop of Elphin (1810-1819) , Archbishop of Tuam (1819-1839).
