A matched set of twelve silver soup plates, ten by Sebastian Garrard, London 1929, two by William Hutton and Sons, Sheffield 1932, circular form, gadroon border, engraved with an armorial, diameter 24.7cm, approx. weight 262oz. (12) The arms are those of Albert Holden Illingworth of Bradford. Born May 1865, he was a partner in his family's textile company and was elected to parliament in 1915. The following year he was elected post master general and a Privy Councillor. He was raised to peerage in 1921 and married twice, but died without issue in 1942.
