A George IV silver artist's medal, 1824, modelled as an oval pallet, on side inscribed within a swag border, 'The Honourable Pallet of the Society for promoting Arts Manufacturers and Commerce', the reverse with brushes and inscribed 'To Mr Ed. Williams, MDCCCXXIV for a finished drawing in chalk from the living figure', length 5.4cm. provenance: purchased from Steppes Hill Farm Antiques, September 1997.
